A Card That Takes Casting Straight to Your Website
You can now generate a business card carrying a QR code that opens your actor website. Design it in the admin, download a print-ready file, or use the digital version as a link.
Why a card at all, in 2025
Because the alternative at a festival, a workshop or a wrap party is spelling your name into somebody's phone while they hold a drink. That transaction fails constantly. Names get misheard, the note gets lost, and the connection evaporates.
A card takes two seconds, survives the evening in a pocket, and with a code on it the other person can be looking at your reel before you have finished the conversation. It is a small, unglamorous, genuinely effective piece of self-promotion, which is the same category as the email signature.
Two things we got wrong first, so you do not have to
Contrast direction matters. A light code on a dark background looks better and does not scan. Scanners expect dark modules on a light field, and reversing it fails on a large share of phones. Every card we generate now puts the code dark on light, and if you supply a color we check it against the background and adjust rather than producing something pretty that does not work.
The address on the card must be the one that resolves. Print the bare version of a domain that only answers on its full form and you have printed a dead link onto three hundred pieces of card. The card generator writes the address that actually works, and the code encodes the same one.
What goes on the card
Less than you think. Your name, what you do, the code, and one contact route. That is it. A card is not a resume, and the code exists precisely so that everything else lives on the website.
Union number, height, playing age and four social handles all belong on your site, not on a piece of card that somebody will glance at once.
Where the code goes
Your website, by default. You can point it at a specific page instead, and for a lot of actors that should be the reel rather than the home page.
What comes next
You can claim your card and refer a friend, download a print-ready file, see how many people scanned it, and choose from refreshed layouts.
